Kick-a-Thon 2009
The JKASV Kick-a-Thon has become an annual event that everyone looks forward to.
On December 22nd dojo members did 2010 kicks to benefit Aid to Children Without Parents and Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties.
The objective was for each participant to perform as many of the 2010 kicks as possible. Participants were to have donations pledged to them based on how many of the kicks they do.
Anyone who has done 100 kicks will agree that 1,000 is a challenge. Over 2,000 is very challenging. But regardless of how many repetitions one can do, everyone was encouraged to do their best -- both to help with fund-raising and to challenge themselves.
