Charity Kick-a-Thon to support families from Newtown

Please note that we just added a second charity option for this year's annual punch&kick-a-thon event.

The United Way of Western Connecticut has set up a fund to help families who lost loved ones at the recent school massacre in Newtown.

(side-note: SVSK's Chief Instructor, Jon Keeling, grew up in Newtown, a quiet, usually very peaceful community)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

JKA of Silicon Valley Receives 2012 Best of Redwood City Award

Redwood City Award Program Honors the Achievement

REDWOOD CITY November 8, 2012 -- JKA of Silicon Valley has been selected for the 2012 Best of Redwood City Award in the Martial Arts Activities category by the Redwood City Award Program.

Each year, the Redwood City Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Redwood City area a great place to live, work and play.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2012 Redwood City Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Redwood City Award Program and data provided by third parties.
